A Meeting Place: Persian Early Music

Join us for Persian Night of Early Music, a contemplative evening exploring the beauty and depth of Persian classical tradition through intimate performances. The program moves between meditative oud improvisations, the refined nuances of the setar and radif, and an ensemble performance rooted in Persian classical music.

Performers include Gus Denhard (oud) with Delaram Amiri (tombak), offering a meditative journey that bridges Persian and world-music traditions; Parham Souri (setar) with Delaram (tombak), presenting an intimate reading of radif-based material; and the Faraz Ensemble — Ali Ghaemmaghami (tar), Behrooz Alavi (ney), Adrian Golay (cello), and Delaram Amiri (tombak), whose cross-cultural arrangements create a warm, resonant chamber sound.

This is the second in a series of concerts called A Meeting Place curated by Gus Denhard with support from a 4Culture Artists Support Grant.

Doors open at 3pm.
